About Todd

Todd Thompson is an Iowa farm boy who moved to the big city.

He is fascinated by the paradox that God’s perfect purposes for us are lived and learned in imperfect moments. Taking note of God’s common thread of grace helps to connect the seemingly random events and experiences in our ragged edge lives.

Vocationally, Todd is a writer for Dream Taxi. Writing, music, cooking, photography and time spent with good friends are some of what feeds his soul. He loves doing volunteer work with his kids at Carillon House and Vista Care Hospice. And every September he subjects himself to another season of futility as a long-suffering fan of the Minnesota Vikings.

Todd earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwestern College and a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in Leadership Development from Phoenix Seminary. He went to seminary for the purpose of using his degree in the workplace and being a role player/support person for pastors in the local church, doing guest speaking and interim preaching for churches in need. He’s grateful for the privilege of having served as a part-time teaching pastor at Hope Covenant Church in Chandler, Arizona.

After 14 years in the Phoenix valley, he currently resides at Buffalo Springs Lake (Lubbock), Texas with his wonderful wife Brooke and twin daughters.

Todd’s greatest adventure was going from no kids to 2 kids in 23 days.

His greatest challenge is learning to be a better Dad.

His greatest blessing is the daily grace of God in his life.
